illustration friday: identical

It started with two identical spots (an ink stain pressed between a piece of paper).
After a while they became two totally different underwater beings:
a sea snail and a frolicy fish. But friends forever.

  1. Friends, because they have something in common, something identical in their perceptions of the world, perhaps...? I like the colours you've used and the lovely, playful waves!!

    1. Thank you so much for your sweet words! I'll explain the identicalness (is this a word?). I made an ink stain and pressed a piece of paper on it, so then I had two identical inkstains. I did see a fish in one of them immediately. I turned the other upside down and saw a snail. I draw the lines and there they were.

  2. Hi Hedwig!!!!!!!
I believe that although we are all different, at some point we are all equal
and this is what many people, should understand.
all are equal, but not necessarily friends. If we were all friends, it would be ideal :))))))))))
Your characters reflect your soul, and you must be a very good person and very funny.
I send you a big hug!

Sometimes I see different creatures in paper leftovers. Here's an old post with some of them...
