Why, you witchy woman! I love all your pictures ... especially that big one of the animals looking out the window. Your style reminds me a little bit of Babs van Wely, who illustrated The King of the Copper Mountains (Het Sleutelkruid (?)) back in the 1960's. She is one of my favourite illustrators!
Thank you, Gay! It's amazing: you live in Tasmania and I live in Holland, geografical opposites. You have read Het Sleutelkruid, you know Babs van Wely... She was my teacher!!!
No way!!! This is incredible! I'm so envious ... I'm glad to know she taught. Was it recently or a long time ago? Does she still teach? I just have that one book illustrated by her and I've always loved it.
This was really long ago. I went to the Art Academy from 1974-78. I'm 56 now and Babs van Wely died in 2007, about 80 years old. I've allways liked her style, but as teacher I used to find her a bit old fashioned. But she was a nice person and I'm glad that someone on the other side of the world knows her and loves her work. And I'm proud that some of her teaching is still there, deep down in me. Have a nice day (or night?)
Huddle and cuddle! This is the perfect answer to many questions. So cute and sweet!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAww...I do this with my pups, too :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVery cute illustration!
"Feeling sad" is very ominous!! So cute and well done!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI love the way you have illustrated the "sadness" - oh that is just what it would look like.
